While micro solar energy has been around for several years, it has recently gained considerable attention due to technological advancements and increasing awareness about sustainable energy use. Micro solar installations offer a more viable and cost-effective alternative to large-scale solar projects. They are commonly utilized in remote or off-grid regions to deliver a dependable and environment-friendly energy source. Against this backdrop, Energy Thai Trading Hub Co., Ltd., a leading energy and environmental consultant and technology provider, is introducing the benefits of micro solar technology to communities looking for an affordable and clean energy alternative.

The firm's objective is to assist its clients to improve their operations and sustainable development strategies and prepare them for the impacts of climate scenarios. Energy Thai Trading focuses on bringing innovation to the energy sector and is dedicated to introducing new, regenerative solutions to Southeast Asia, especially Thailand. Consequently, the Thai government has granted the firm a license for energy management to provide a one-stop shop for clients seeking sustainable energy solutions. The firm is also an importer and distributor of energy-saving devices.

“We are passionate about optimizing energy at a micro level through our innovative techniques, which will be the key to meeting future energy needs,” says Ruktai Prurapark, Founder of ETTH.

To promote the continuity of eco-friendly business operations, ETTH focuses on demand-side management (DSM) and provides financing for client projects through costsaving measures or funding from financial institutions. The firm can undertake numerous projects through this approach without having clients pay upfront. Furthermore, it is one of the few companies in Thailand to offer a payback pilot program for solar energy, a practice that has been a success in the US.

Regarding sustainability, ETTH focuses on various energy sources like hydrogen fuels and is also open to exploring new technologies, not limiting itself to just solar energy. Mobile pyrolysis, the company’s pilot license plant, distinguishes it from the traditional stationary pyrolysis plant providers. Rather than waiting for the waste to be collected and brought to the plant location, the unit is taken to the site where the waste needs to be processed, making the process more efficient and beneficial. Further, ETTH offers energy storage systems to maximize energy efficiency and build a reliable energy source, even at night.

Along with its sustainable energy solutions, ETTH also started an EV charging station project around five years ago, seeing potential EV growth in Thailand. The firm believes that having a fundamental EV charging infrastructure is necessary to encourage people to use EVs. As a result, it collaborated with the Thai government to secure funding for establishing 20 to 30 EV quick charging stations in the country. Apart from providing sustainable energy services and solutions, ETTH also secured a license from Vuzix to distribute their smart glasses in Thailand.

ETTH has helped numerous clients to achieve their sustainable energy goals using its innovative services and solutions. One such sustainability project was implementing a solar rooftop system at a public university in Thailand with approximately 10,000 students. ETTH funded the project, and the university signed a 20-year contract with the company. The project helped the university save 30 to 35 percent of its monthly electricity costs. It also has a cost-sharing agreement for the project believing that this success can pave the way for other universities in Thailand to adopt similar sustainability projects. Currently, there are five other universities in the firm’s pipeline for implementing the same project.

While most companies focus on large-scale or smallscale solar installations, ETTH prioritizes developing a micro energy management system. Its micro solar technology implementation in over a hundred locations has garnered notable results with a 10-megawatt increase in solar energy capacity, a critical step towards a sustainable future.
